Always On Our Radar Campaign

Meteorologists play a critical role in local newscasts, with severe weather being the number one reason people tune in. Conceived as a way to connect the NewsChannel 5 talent to the communities they serve in the minds of the viewers, the Always On Our Radar Campaign included promotional spots, roadside billboards, and a healthy smattering of digital ads targeting specific cities in the Middle Tennessee area.

I was tasked with creating a cohesive look for the campaign, opting to keep visuals down to two or three elements plus text and station logo. The most difficult part of the campaign was probably hunting down photos of iconic elements of specific cities, like the clock tower in Murfreesboro. The imagery needed to represent each city, as well as work across a wide range of aspect ratios when integrated with the talent and graphics.
