Howdy, I'm Terrence Boyce.

Multidisciplinary designer and creator of things, and, occasionally, stuff.

About Me

Oh, boy. Where do I begin? Birth? Nah, memories are too fuzzy there. Childhood? Okay, I really liked drawing and making posters when I was in grade school. I recall coming up with fake tv and radio shows with friends, and acting them out either on camera or on a tape recorder (yes, tape). I also liked taking things apart and putting them back together. One more thing — my uncle, James Hoyle, is a post-impressionist painter who’s influenced my desire to make a living by creating something.

I didn’t realize design was a career path until I was in my late teens. It was a big deal — the idea that everything I’d been interacting with throughout my entire life was, at some point, just an idea, maybe a sketch, then revised and embellished until BOOM! It’s a toothbrush. A car. A book cover. The opening credits of a film. A thing of some sort. There’s a saying that good design is ubiquitous, so I cut myself a lot of slack for not realizing it sooner. It’s all design.

Fast-forward many years, and here I stand (sit): a multidisciplinary designer with over 20 years of experience creating everything from book covers to mobile games. Four Emmy Awards. Regional Edward R. Murrow Award and National Headliner Award in 2016. Promax Gold winner in 2020. Yeah, accolades. I’ve got a few.

My design experience includes interactive, print, motion graphics, post-production for broadcast and film, mobile game and website development. I’ve worked on augmented reality projects. A lot of brand development and management along the way, as well. I even designed a granite monument to fallen police officers over twenty years ago. That’s versatility.

As for hobbies and such, I enjoy making music, riding bicycles, designing objects for 3D printing, boxing in VR, and being a dad. That pretty much covers it.

I have zero fear of new projects. I ask a lot of questions up front, and always trust the process.
